Community Conversation

As a community of practice, we are dedicated to creating more opportunities for members to convene around topics, challenges, and other points of interest – for free. As we explore these opportunities, we are excited to invite you to one or all of the upcoming conversations.

Discussion Topic

Human-Centered Change — Laying the Groundwork

In this session, we’ll discuss key ideas from the first half of Essential Practices for Organizational Change in Higher Education. Topics include building context, clarifying the “why,” and engaging stakeholders through sensemaking and inclusion.

Come ready to reflect on how these practices apply (or don’t!) at your own institution. What resonated? What challenges are you facing? What questions came up as you read? This is not a presentation—it’s a peer conversation facilitated by the book’s author and shaped by your insights.

You don’t need to have attended the earlier session to participate—each conversation stands alone, though attending all is encouraged. Other conversations in this series:

Note: We ask all participants to engage thoughtfully, respect diverse perspectives, and honor SCUP’s community guidelines for productive and respectful dialogue. Community Conversations are not recorded.
