The 2021 Climate Action Pursuit
Toward Justice and Resilience

Series | Feb 24-26, June 10-11, Oct 7-8, Dec 9-10

The Climate Action Pursuit – being hosted by Second Nature and the Intentional Endowments Network (IEN) throughout 2021 – is a brand-new approach that will create knowledge-to-action teams who will work together to accomplish goals in six topic areas that are central to the higher education sector in addition to our nation’s climate priorities.

A series of milestone check-in points throughout 2021 will focus on learning, planning, acting, and leading on equity and climate on our campuses, in our communities, and across our society and economy. The event is 100% virtual.

The four milestone events will offer a compelling agenda of virtual programming, scheduled over the course of 2-3 days.

About Second Nature and the Intentional Endowments Network (IEN)

Second Nature: A Boston-based NGO committed to accelerating climate action in, and through, higher education. This is accomplished by mobilizing a diverse array of higher education institutions to act on bold climate commitments, to scale campus climate initiatives, and to create innovative climate solutions. Second Nature aims to align, amplify, and bridge the sector’s efforts with other global leaders to advance urgent climate priorities. secondnature.org

Intentional Endowments Network (IEN): A non-profit, peer-learning network advancing intentionally designed endowments – those that seek to enhance financial performance by making investments that advance an equitable, low carbon, and regenerative economy. Working closely with leading organizations, the network engages leaders and key stakeholders from higher education, foundations, business, and nonprofits. It provides opportunities for learning and education, peer networking, convening, thought leadership and information exchange around a variety of strategies (e.g., ESG integration, impact investing, and shareholder engagement). intentionalendowments.org
