Job Description:

The Coordinator, Academic Services and Support will be directly accountable to the Dean of Academic Services and Support and will be responsible for coordinating a variety of operations, processes, projects, events, as well as maintaining departmental records.

The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) change as necessary to effectively carry out its mission.

  • Works closely with the Dean in coordinating operations of the Academic Services and Support unit.
  • Coordinate with Academic Services and Support departments to provide resources, services and support to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Assist with documentation, processes, projects, and reports for Academic Services and Support.
  • Assists with data collection to measure the success of Academic Services and Support operations and goals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and other officials related to Academic Services and Support.
  • Assist with a variety of academic and college operations which may include but not be limited to: customer service, purchasing, travel planning, scheduling, reporting, etc.
  • Serve as a general resource for faculty, staff, and students with a broad knowledge of academic operations and support services.
  • Assist in preparing requisitions in Banner and entering expenses in Chrome River.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and greet walk-ins seeking support.
  • As a part of the college’s risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree plus two (2) – four (4) years documented relevant work experience OR Bachelor’s degree with one (1) – three (3) years of documented relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to positively and professionally represent the College on campus and in the community.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous work experience in an educational setting.
