Job Duties
The Assistant Director for Campus Planning (Campus Planner) at Colorado State University is responsible for leading and coordinating campus development efforts, including the implementation of the Campus Master Plan and alignment with university strategic goals. The role encompasses long-term planning in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, space planning and utilization, and the integration of sustainability and multimodal transportation strategies. The Campus Planner also oversees landscape architecture, conducts facilities studies, and provides policy guidance on space usage. Additionally, the position facilitates and serves on multiple university planning and development committees to ensure cohesive and efficient campus growth and management.

Required Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in one or more of the following: campus or urban planning, facilities planning, master planning for educational institutions, and/or space planning and programming.
SUPERVISION: Minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising staff.
Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date.
Salary
$130,000 to $140,000
