Through the use of four student engagement case studies, presenters will focus on planning and change management efforts at their institutions.

- Establishing community networks to support planning efforts at Michigan State University.
- Valuing student participation in program feedback and assessment – University of Mount Union’s Honors Council.
- Innovatively involving students as facilitators in the strategic planning process at Northern Michigan University.
- Focusing on student agency through authentic and inclusive student engagement in difficult conversations at the College for Creative Studies.
Learning Outcomes
- Facilitate student engagement and sustainable student leadership models to support ongoing institutional processes.
- Prepare and develop students to be part of a meaningful planning communication cycle.
- Provide meaningful student experiential learning opportunities that benefit change processes through student facilitation of, and involvement in, difficult conversations.
- Methods of collecting meaningful feedback on institutional planning from the students’ perspective outside of the typical methods.
