Membership Committee

Description

Provides the board of directors with advice and recommendations regarding policies and strategies relating to membership recruitment and retention. Also serves as a forum for regional membership coordinators to network in their efforts to maximize membership in their regions.

The committee consists of a chair, who serves on the board of directors, a vice chair and one membership chair from each region. During the final year of a regional membership chair's term of service, a vice chair is selected to ensure a smooth transition. Reporting to each regional membership chair is a regional membership committee. Together, they are are responsible for welcoming new members to their region, contacting lapsed members, and encouraging nonmembers to join. They also welcome people attending regional events.
