SCUP

Regional Chair – All Regions

Position Overview

SCUP’s regional councils are at the heart of our community and connection. Overseeing programmatic exchanges, people connections, and volunteer and leadership development, the regional councils are helping the higher education community learn more about planning at the grassroots level. Each regional council’s work supports SCUP’s strategic plan adopted by the board of directors.

Regional chairs are responsible for communications with members in their regions, membership recruitment, retention, programming, and other activities.

Regional chairs serve on the SCUP Council. The council provides knowledge, expertise, and insight into the SCUP’s community, bringing an understanding of the current and future environment. The council develops an integrated plan that advances SCUP’s strategic plan.

The SCUP Council represents the best of SCUP’s community. The Council works hand in hand with our Board to unite higher education leaders, defining and creating the future of our community. Working across regions, committees, academies, task forces, and leadership teams, SCUP Council members are subject matter experts who ensure that SCUP’s offerings align with our community’s needs and the strategic plan. It’s the SCUP Council’s collective work and experiences that lead our membership to solve the toughest challenges together.
