SCUP 2015 Southern Regional Conference:
Planning for Higher Education; Exploring New Frontiers
October 11–13, 2015 | Fort Worth, TX
The “new normal” is a phrase often used to describe life after the Great Recession. The new normal in higher education is characterized by paradigm and resource shifts that challenge planners, administrators, and educators to evaluate the status quo, maximize investments, and think creatively about meeting institutional goals. This is more than a new normal, this represents a new frontier in planning for higher education.
We have arrived upon this new frontier, and the challenges facing higher education are unparalleled and will continue. The need for creative and innovative approaches to addressing these challenges is more critical today than ever before. This new reality provides greater opportunity and responsibility for higher education planners to take charge and define the future.
This conference will bring together innovators and thought leaders to combine regional knowledge of this new higher education arena with stories from other institutions across the country and will explore the new frontiers, showcasing innovative solutions to the challenges we face.
