Brad Kelsheimer
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Lumina Foundation for Education

Brad Kelsheimer is Lumina Foundation’s vice president for finance and investments and chief financial officer.  In his role at Lumina, Kelsheimer oversees the Foundation’s $1+ billion investment portfolio and all financial functions of the organization. Prior to joining Lumina in June of 2017, Kelsheimer served for over twenty years in executive financial roles in both for-profit and non-profit organizations, most recently as senior vice president for finance and administration at DePauw University.

Kelsheimer started his career in public accounting at Price Waterhouse (PWC) and then served in various financial and operational roles at General Housewares Corp., a multi-national, NYSE distributor/manufacturer of consumer products. Kelsheimer then served as vice president finance and administration at Rose-Hulman Ventures in a technology commercialization and seed stage investment role before transitioning to an administrative role at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Kelsheimer’s background includes deep experience in institutional investment oversight, higher education administration, technology commercialization, private equity venture investing, merger and acquisition support, SEC/financial reporting, corporate treasury and board governance. Throughout his career, Kelsheimer has served on numerous for-profit and non-profit boards with emphasis on technology commercialization, economic development, investment oversight and community building. Kelsheimer holds a BS in accounting from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois, a MS in strategic management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, a Certified Public Accounting designation, and holds a certification in Investment Foundations from the CFA Institute.
