Under general supervision of the Associate Vice President for Academic Resources and Planning, the Strategic Scheduling Analyst manages, analyzes, and reports on utilization, assignment, and effective use of academic spaces. The incumbent analyzes the schedule of classes and advises on effective scheduling; acts as senior-level project manager for multi-year implementation of scheduling software solution and manages use of the system post implementation; routinely interfaces with software vendor, information technology staff, and divisional stakeholders to ensure timeliness and quality of schedule software implementation; identifies and advises on policy implications, process improvements, and impediments related to implementation; trains and leads activities of room reservations staff; and performs other duties as assigned.
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in business administration, computer science, or related field required. Certification in project management preferred. Equivalent to six (6) years of full-time, progressively responsible relevant experience in a highly specialized technical/professional area. Oversight and administration of a program with supervision and/or lead experience. Three years of project management experience or experience in higher education working environment is a plus. Experience with academic scheduling and associated software is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Extensive and in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply expertise in the advanced theories, principles, methods and practices associated with the functional specialty, including applicable internal policies and procedures and pertinent laws and regulations, which are highly complex and require substantial judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying them. Ability and specialized skills to: interpret and evaluate results to develop sound conclusions and recommend new or revised policies; understand problems from a broad perspective and develop strategic solutions; work with representatives from public and private entities; demonstrated consultative and facilitation skills in working with internal and external constituent groups; interpret and integrate complex data and information to formulate appropriate courses of action; effectively present ideas and concepts in written or presentative format; oversee and provide training. Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, communicate effectively at multiple levels, analyze policies and procedures, and prepare accurate analyses and cogent reports for leadership decision-making are required of this position. Ability to build cohesive teams that create a cooperative and productive planning environment. Skilled at understanding others’ perspectives and taking interest in their concerns. Skilled at resolving problems. Exceptional organizational skills. Ability to thrive in constantly changing work environment and to pivot as appropriate. Proficiency with Tableau is a plus. Familiarity with Astra Schedule and Platinum Analytics is a plus.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

The salary range for this classification is: $5908 – $11,481 per month.
The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $7250 – $9000, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
HOURS: Full-Time; 40 hours per week; 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. May include some evenings and weekends.
REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
