Senior Space Planner
Columbia University is seeking an experienced Senior Space Planner to join its Planning & Capital Project Management team within Facilities and Operations. The Senior Space Planner provides vital space planning and pre-design expertise to structure and manage the programming and physical planning of capital construction projects to meet University space needs. Reporting to the Executive Director of Facilities Planning, the Senior Space Planner will interface with academic and administrative stakeholders at all levels to develop programming and space planning scenarios for a broad range of capital and strategic planning initiatives ranging from new buildings to modest office renovations. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and issuing programming and space planning deliverables in graphic and quantitative formats from a range of source materials. He/she identifies and develops data gathering, analysis, and organization of information into reports and graphic formats; conducts client interviews; and prepares functional space program documents, conceptual design alternatives, and other deliverables for campus space planning initiatives.
