Job Duties

This position provides services as a Construction Engineer for the University on multiple projects. This position is accountable for performing complex duties in the coordination and monitoring of construction activities including documenting conditions and construction progress and coordinating utility shutdowns between the contractor, utility companies, and the University for any construction project assigned to them. Ensures that project scope, schedule, and budget are being adhered to and notifies the director of changes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field and 12 years of related experience in management, inspection, or supervision of the construction of projects. Two years of experience must include large, highly complex construction projects.
• Must be willing and able to work occasional evening and weekend hours and respond to calls for emergencies, campus closures, inclement weather, and events that affect the University, projects, or job sites.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must possess adequate physical strength, stamina, agility, and fitness to perform the required duties.

• Professional registration and/or required licenses and/or certifications in the appropriate discipline.
• Experience working at higher education facilities.
• Knowledge of Oracle Unifier system and P6.
