You will be responsible for ensuring a thoughtful approach to space creation by the University and that assignment, utilization and planning reflects University policies and priorities. Responsible for making sure that appropriate facilities are available to support the academic and research enterprises of the University. You will provide leadership expert advice and support for all institutional space projects by ensuring that user space needs are well defined, working with users as required, and then by ensuring that the space plan and related space design best meets the requirements of users and the operating practices and standards of the University.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
Degree(s) in Urban Planning, Architecture or Engineering or another related field. Project Manager or Facility Management accreditation preferred. Graduate degree an asset. In addition, you will bring a minimum 7 years progressive experience and leadership in institutional space planning, urban planning, or planning in large institutional, industrial or commercial enterprises.
