Adapting to today’s challenges, we continue to deliver innovative, high-quality courses and programs. We put the safety and success of our community as our top priority. As Oregon’s largest university, we draw people from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. Our mission is constantly evolving to serve all learners.
The primary roles of the Project Controls Manager (PCM) are to develop and implement project controls, processes, data collection and reporting tools in support of the university’s capital planning, programming and construction efforts; advance the progress and communication of the work; and serve as the central point of contact for incoming project and space requests.
The work requires an in-depth understanding of the capital planning and budgeting processes, project programming and space allocation processes and capital construction project management processes. The work includes data gathering, categorization, analyses and reporting; acting as point person for the intake and dissemination of information from campus customers related to space and project needs; development of processes to enhance the timeliness and accuracy of project management functions including budget updates, change order reviews, and project close-out documentation.
This PCM requires a wide degree of creativity, experience and judgment to plan, execute and accomplish the responsibilities assigned to the position. The outcome of the work will inform and enhance the communication and decision making within the department and the university.
