Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Physical Plant Night Janitorial Supervisor, Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:
• Inspect custodial work to ensure that it meets contract requirements and recommend actions of workers engaged in evening janitorial services as needed.
• Work with, and possess full understanding of the FAMIS Work Order System.
• Maintains records, prepares reports relative to the night shift personnel.
• Makes rounds to verify crew coverage of designated work areas, assigns needed coverage, provides special cleaning instructions and/or assignments, and ascertains compliance with directives.
• Confer with contracted supervisors to resolve custodial and personnel problems.
• Recommend changes to standard operating procedures to improve custodial operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:
High School Diploma or equivalent and five years of experience in the cleaning industry is required.

Previous working experience as a custodial supervisor.

Must be available to work flexible hours as needed (the Janitorial Night Supervisor is an Essential Personnel designation and may be required to work during emergency situations).

Strong Supervisory skills required.

Must be skilled at motivating, developing, and directing employees.

Ability to place appropriately skilled personnel in each position.

Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, manage time effectively and prioritize assignments.

Ability to positively accept and manage change and communicate these changes in a positive manner to team members.

Ability to react quickly and correctly in critical situations.

Must possess strong organizational and problem solving skills; and ability to coordinate multiple tasks.

Use effective communication to establish a common understanding for project expectations by all members of the team.

Professional demeanor and ability to safeguard confidential information.

Must be reliable and punctual.

Bilingual in English and Spanish or Creole is preferred.

Microsoft Work, Excel.
