Conditions of Employment:
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.  CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.  Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Position Information:
This is a full-time, permanent (probationary) position.

Department: Information Technology – Development & Digital Convergence
The Division of Information Technology is responsible for providing leadership and support in information technology for the entire CSU Dominguez Hills community. The Division promotes IT solutions that improve the teaching, learning, research, and administrative environment of the University. The Vice President / CIO provides overall management of the Division of IT. The Division of Information Technology is comprised of eight operational units: Service & Financial Mgmt, User Services, Academic Technology, Infrastructure & Production Services, Information Security, Development & Digital Convergence, Innovation Incubator, and Operational Effectiveness, Planning, & Analytics.

Major Job Duties:
Under the general direction of the AVP of Development & Digital Convergence the incumbent is responsible for planning, designing, developing, implementing and supporting ongoing development of the OnBase Document Management System and integrations with Line-of-Business applications. The functions in this job include OnBase application development, maintenance, design, support, and automating business processes. The Developer will program for OnBase and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs.  Provide support to multiple divisions and various areas as assigned.   Research all user issues and independently resolve a wide range of technical problems for a diverse constituency of campus users. Provides cross-functional coordination, facilitation and consultation for campus enterprise systems emerging technology. Provides accurate documentation of technical guides, design/configuration documents, technical specifications, and knowledge base. Performing fit-gap analysis, prototyping, application configuration, and testing.  Adhere to project directions on tasks, work priorities, and project schedules/statuses. Provide excellent customer service and working closely with other project/team members. Communicate clearly and effectively, with technical and non-technical individuals within a culturally diverse campus environment.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of: 
- Structured programming techniques, relational database design, and file structure
- Knowledge and skills in applications programming and systems analysis
- System development life cycle and structured systems development concepts
- Formal data flow analysis methodologies
- Data administration principles and data modeling concepts
- Analyzes requirements and builds functional specifications that deliver business value and promotes user adoption of OnBase ECM technologies.
- Configures access security to documents held within system.
- Conducts assessments of OnBase functionality with minimal direction.
- Administrative systems development and workflow processes
- OnBase14 or higher
- Client/server technologies
- System/equipment capability, design restrictions, and security requirement
- Network configuration, programming, and protocols
- Problem/incident management 

Skill
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, specifically to communicate technical computing related topics and solutions to a nontechnical audience. 
- Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to take initiative to complete work assignments.

Experience and Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four year college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Engineering. 
Masters or above in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field.
Twelve years of relevant full-time experience may be substituted for the previously listed education and experience requirement.

Required Experience:
Equivalent to seven (7) years of related work experience developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-level OnBase document management system.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this classification is: $4,372 – $10,792 monthly.
