Job Duties

Under the general direction of the Director of Undergraduate Research, with a dotted line with Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, the Office of Undergraduate Research Administrative Specialist determines the programmatic needs of the office that will sustain and enhance undergraduate research. This position will develop logistical aspects of workshops and interpret student outcomes. This person will analyze the status of undergraduate research activity on campus and prepare proposals to seek external funding to enhance research activity. This person will develop and implement an action plan for the efficient allocation of office activities, and maintain the office budget.

Required Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training.

Master’s degree relevant to administration and management of Office of Undergraduate Studies (OUR) projects.

Required Experience:
Required: Three (3) years of work experience in a progressively responsible office administrative position.

5-10 years of experience with implementing federally-funded undergraduate research programs is preferred. At least 5-10 years of experience with logistics of student support, including workshop development, student recruitment, and tracking of activities and outcomes. Lead work direction of student assistants.
