Provide design and construction administration services for a host of small to medium sized annual projects. This includes HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design for renovation and new projects. It will also include Construction Administration for work designed in house and also by outside consultants (Project Management). Project Management skills are also key to this position.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or High School/GED with an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 3 years’ experience performing mechanical design duties. For High School/GED with specialized training and certification, at least 5 years progressively responsible experience performing mechanical design duties. Must have professional experience designing both small and medium scale HVAC systems. Must have a mechanical engineering certification such as ASHRAE Certified HVAC Designer.
Preferred Qualifications: Active Professional Engineer license.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Must have detailed knowledge of HVAC industry and be able to produce specifications for Bid purposes. Must be able to design in AutoCAD.
This is a full-time, exempt, Contingent II (contractual), position with a limited benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, paid leave, tuition remission and more. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
