Job Duties

Albion College invites applications for the Design and Construction Project Manager position. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and belonging.
Reporting to the Chief Planning Officer (CPO), the Design and Construction Project Manager (DCPM) will be
situated physically and act as a key contributor as an affiliate with other members of the project management team through the Center for Project Management and Agile Practices. In this role, the DCPM will perform project management and project administration duties for various planning, design and construction projects on campus.
The Project Manager provides coordination and oversight in partnership with the CPO on minor and major Capital projects from inception through the Project’s closeout. This includes the predesign, design, and construction phases of projects from the initial concept development through turnover and occupancy. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. Albion College is an anti-racist institution. Required Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS), in Engineering, Architecture, Building sciences, or Construction Management;
Advanced degree in Business, Planning & Design, Construction Management, Sustainable Design, Real
Estate, Engineering or Architecture preferred
● 5+ years of work experience in project management required, at least 3 years of which should include
management of multiple and/or highly complex projects
● Experience working on at least one side of the business (i.e., consultant, construction manager, owner,
owner rep, architect, engineer or contractor) is preferred
● Licensure or
