Job Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads the Office of Curriculum, Assessment and Portfolio Management-ensuring efficient and effective responses to curricular needs and that a unified, seamless assessment approach is taken across the Schools of Dallas College
• Works closely with the Dean of the Academic Incubator, Dean of Guided Pathways for Success, and Dean of Institutional Effectiveness to ensure seamless support of assessment and curricular innovations
• Assists with faculty training in the areas of assessment, curriculum guidance, advisory board management, and labor market analysis.
• In conjunction with the Vice Provosts, guides the effective establishment and maintenance of active, engaged, and informed business advisory boards
• Manages the curriculum operations team—ensuring consistent, accurate and efficient curriculum management processes.
• Serves as a critical design and compliance resource to faculty who are engaging in innovative curriculum design.
• While adopting an innovative curricular approach, remains current with state and federal agency requirements that may inform assessment, curricular design and development.
• Adopt and expand the use of meaningful technology solutions to enhance the assessment and curriculum management process.
• Maintain knowledge of new developments in innovative curricular approaches including competency-based education, prior learning assessment, and experiential learning.
• Serve on college task forces, committees and councils as required.
• Ability to research, collect and analyze data to make decisions.
• Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to needs of the Institute.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge and Experience

• Master’s degree required
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible teaching, administrative and educational leadership experience
• Demonstrated successful experience in comprehensive assessment, curriculum design, pathway development or program review.
• Current and valid Texas driver’s license required
