Under direction of the Planning Manager, the incumbent supports the Planning Manager in all aspects of college planning. The Planning Associate may be the sole lead on small projects or assist on larger projects. The Planning Associate performs a wide variety of activities related to campus and facilities planning, including capital improvement planning, land use planning and project permitting, planning studies, space management, and outreach and engagement.

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position. Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications:
-5 years experience in campus and/or facilities planning
-Familiarity with land use regulations
-Research, data management, and analytical skills
-Excellent technical writing skills
-Understanding of stakeholder engagement in planning processes
-Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to maintain tact and diplomacy
To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, Interior –Design or other related field AND two years (2) directly related experience as a contributing member of a project team is required
-Bachelor’s degree AND four years (4) directly related experience as a contributing member of a project team
-Six years (6) directly related experience as a contributing member of a project team
