We are currently seeking experienced candidates for the position of Associate Facility Planner. The CSU Chancellor’s Office, located on the waterfront adjacent to the Aquarium of the Pacific in downtown Long Beach, is the headquarters for the nation’s largest and most diverse system of higher education. Under the general direction of the Chief of Planning and Design, the Associate Facility Planner is responsible for the coordination, maintenance and administration of the Space and Facilities Data Base (SFDB) system in order to provide various reports that critically affect the justification of new buildings, leases, and other space related factors in the CSU’s Capital Outlay Program. The Associate Facility Planner is also responsible for assessing the functional improvements and report development of other capital facilities databases and the Academic Planning Data Base (APDB) and generating reports from support budget data. This position also collaborates with the Data Analyst in Facilities Management to provide assessment and determination of databases for which the position is responsible for inclusion in PMWeb. Additionally, the Associate Facility Planner assists the support budget development, and provides reports to the AVC CPDC, AVC Finance and Treasury, and Department of Finance (DOF) as needed. The Associate Planner coordinates, administers, and maintains the Private Use Reporting as mandated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and State Treasurer’s Office (STO) to assist the Finance and Treasury unit.

Four to six years relevant experience demonstrating the skill and abilities to perform the above stated duties, the application of the methods, practices and procedures of database management, facilities planning, fiscal management, budgetary preparation and control techniques. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, information systems, architecture, engineering, urban planning, business administration, accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
