The Opportunity: Associate Director, Projects Office
In a newly created role reporting to the Director, Campus Planning & Facilities Services, the Associate Director (“AD”) provides leadership, guidance and strategic direction to the Projects Office and is responsible for the smooth, effective day-to-day functioning of the office. The AD operates autonomously and professionally to reflect the mission of the Campus Planning & Facilities Management Department and UFV.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
• An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in a related field along with a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered;
• Seven+ years of experience managing multiple large projects in the fields of facilities management, general contracting, building renovation, and architecture/engineering;
• Solid understanding of construction practices and methods, building trades and associated language, RFIs, RFPs, bid analysis, scope and specification development;
