Director for Custodial Services, Director of Landscape Maintenance/Motor Pool/Event Support, 3 Building Maintenance Managers, Warehouse Manager, Recycling/Solid Waste Manager, and Director of Planning, Design, and Construction. Manages complex department budgets
Interviews job applicants for management level positions and recommends employment to the Vice Chancellor
Evaluates job performance of direct reports, reviews performance evaluations of all staff and recommends personnel actions
Develops and recommends operating policies and procedures for the efficient and effective operation of all departments in Facilities Management
Meets and confers with other university staff, public agency representatives and consultants to discuss the needs of the university and the requirements of regulatory agencies
Is a member of the Vice President’s Executive Staff and attends regular meetings to provide information relative to the Departmental activities
Responsible for personal conduct that supports the Organizational Operating Strategy as well as seeing that Facility staff conduct follows the Strategy
Provides general direction for the continuing education of staff members
Provides general oversight for the execution of the University Master Plan and all design and construction projects
Other duties as assigned
An earned Master’s Degree with five (5) years of senior-level leadership and demonstrated expertise in various aspects of facilities operations including project management and capital construction; budget management, modeling and bench-marking
A Bachelor’s Degree with additional years of extraordinary facilities management leadership experience may be substituted
