Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) is a private, technical design and engineering university in Boston, Massachusetts. Wentworth was founded in 1904 and offers career-focused education through its 19 bachelor’s degree programs as well as master’s degrees.
The Assistant Provost of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning provides leadership and expertise to advance the Institute’s mission and strategic priorities with a primary responsibility to maintain and refine institutional assessment and effectiveness processes across the Institute.
The position works closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to promote a culture of data-informed decision making and continuous improvement with regards to assessment and evaluation of student learning, degree programs, services and systems related to student success, retention, graduation, career placement and academic innovation.
Minimum Education Required Master’s degree
Preferred Education Doctoral degree
Minimum Work Experience Required 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in institutional research, with an emphasis on data handling and analysis
Preferred Work Experience 3 years of progressive management and leadership experience
Minimum Knowledge Required Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations.
· Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
· Ability to work independently or as a team member on collaborative projects
· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing, with excellent proofreading and editing skills
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
Demonstrated experience leading departmental and/or institutional efforts around university assessment, accreditation, and/or effectiveness processes.
