Job Duties

Job Summary/Responsibilities

The Facilities Planner/Architect will lead facility planning projects as well as support senior architects within the interdisciplinary Buildings + Places Team in Denver, Colorado. The selected candidate will work with Client leadership and project teams to generate conceptual departmental flow relationships that foster building configurations, addressing functionality and design innovation. This team member will play a significant role in facilities assessments, facility planning, and facility master plans with tasks such as building systems data analysis, data publishing, developing base maps and report graphics, scheduling and team coordination, research, preparing presentations, writing, and producing reports. A candidate with the appropriate technical skills will also aid in the development of technical tools (surveys, reporting, databases). Our projects are large, complex, and multidisciplinary. This is a team of high-performers that is passionate about our work process that flows seamlessly through design and engineering, bringing diverse skillsets to all parts of our projects.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field plus a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Driver’s License

Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications


Ten (10) years of related experience

Experienced in standards and trends in modern space planning utilization by building typology

Experienced with education, science + technology, federal, civic, and municipal clients

Licensed Architect

Knowledge of Building Codes & Accessibility

Knowledge of Architectural Building Systems

Flexibility to work on multiple projects concurrently (in various stages of development)

Technical Skills: REVIT, Microsoft Office, Parametric Modeling, Analytical Tools, and Data Visualization

Lead and Facilitate Group Discussions (ie: charrettes)

Excellent Presentation Skills: verbal, written, graphic

Ability to foster a collaborative environment
