Valarie Avalone
Director, Institutional Planning, Effectiveness and Accountability
Monroe Community College
Valarie Avalone is the Director, Institutional Planning, Effectiveness and Accountability at Monroe Community College with 20 years of demonstrated success in strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, and sustainability. Ms. Avalone holds a masters in Adult Education from Buffalo State College and a bachelors in Organizational Development from Roberts Wesleyan College. She has received certificates in Institutional Effectiveness and Change and in Leadership and Development. She is a trainer/facilitator for the SCUP Planning Institute and served on the SCUP Board of Directors as At-Large Director with Expertise in Community Colleges. She is a member of the Steering Committee for the New York Coalition for Sustainability in Higher Education, Rochester Sustainability Collaborative, High Falls EcoDistrict Critical Team and a board member of the Cornell Cooperative Extension/Monroe County. Ms. Avalone is a sought-after presenter and evaluator/consultant on integrated planning, strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, accreditation, urban planning, facilities, and sustainability topics.
