Valarie Avalone is the Director, Institutional Planning, Effectiveness and Accountability at Monroe Community College with 20 years of demonstrated success in strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, and sustainability. Ms. Avalone holds a masters in Adult Education from Buffalo State College and a bachelors in Organizational Development from Roberts Wesleyan College. She has received certificates in Institutional Effectiveness and Change and in Leadership and Development. She is a trainer/facilitator for the SCUP Planning Institute and served on the SCUP Board of Directors as At-Large Director with Expertise in Community Colleges. She is a member of the Steering Committee for the New York Coalition for Sustainability in Higher Education, Rochester Sustainability Collaborative, High Falls EcoDistrict Critical Team and a board member of the Cornell Cooperative Extension/Monroe County.
