Dr. Meggan Madden started her career in higher education in undergraduate admissions, where she learned her passion was in international programs. Her Ph.D. is in Higher Education with a specialization in comparative and international higher education. Her research examines higher education policy frameworks and how policy and practice impacts student experiences within the context of international
higher education for development and exchange. She has worked for six different institutions including small private liberal arts colleges, land grant institutions, and private and public research universities.

Since 2019 she has served as Dean of Academics for Principia College, her alma mater. At Principia College, she has supported two Presidential transitions; served as co-chair of the Strategic Planning Committee that developed Principia’s current strategic plan; and sat on the core steering committee for master planning. She is currently leading faculty through an academic portfolio review.
