John O. White is executive director of construction bond program and facilities planning at the College of the Desert, one of the fastest growing community colleges in California, with approximately 16,000 students enrolled. He has 30+ years of capital planning and capital development experience in both the private and public sectors. As a senior administrator and over the course of his career, White had responsibilities for capital planning and capital development at UC San Diego, UC Merced, and UC Riverside. His current responsibilities at the College of the Desert in the Coachella Valley include administration of the district construction bond programs, physical and environmental planning, real estate, and oversight of the campus long-range facilities plan. White formerly served on the SCUP board of directors, and he currently serves on the SCUP membership committee.
