Jim James
Vice Chancellor for Facilities
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia
Atlanta, GAJim James has served as the Vice Chancellor for Real Estate and Facilities at the University System of Georgia since 2013, after working for 25 years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) as the Assistant Vice President for Planning, Design & Construction. He has a bachelor of architecture degree from Auburn University and a Masters of Public Administration degree from UAB.
During Jim’s time at UAB, the campus grew from 8.5 to 15 million gross square feet with a wide variety of projects planned and implemented. These projects included classroom buildings, research laboratories, vivarium, recreation centers, residence halls, dining halls, green spaces and medical facilities.
