Atlanta, GAGita Hendessi, AIA Gita’s experience includes planning, program management, design, construction, and facilities management. She is a registered architect and majored in environmental design and sustainability. Gita has over twenty years of experience in both the private and public sectors with a focused emphasis on higher education real estate and facilities. She has focused on private public partnerships since 1986 and offers her expertise and integrated perspectives as owner, developer, and advisor. Prior to founding Hendessi & Associates, Gita was the Senior Vice President at a national development company, where she was responsible for the program management business unit and for privatized development services for colleges and universities. She is a frequent speaker at national and regional professional conferences and serves on a number of boards and advisory councils. She also served as the University System of Georgia’s Director of Facilities Planning and Facilities Program Manager for over seven years.
