Betsy Leebron Tutelman is senior vice provost for strategic communications at Temple University and a professor in the School of Media and Communication. A former American Council on Education Fellow (2011-2012), she completed the HERS Management Institute at Wellesley College in 2008. Tutelman is recognized as an innovative and entrepreneurial educator who led communications for the university’s academic strategic plan (2007-2012) that received praise from educational institutions and organizations. She simultaneously developed messaging for media channels that highlighted key initiatives and outcomes of the planning process. A producer of video documentaries, she uses archival interviews to tell stories, and several of those have been featured to highlight progress in academic planning. Tutelman serves on the Philadelphia Foundation Board of Managers, the East Stroudsburg University MCOM Advisory Board, and the Philadelphia Academies Inc., Communications Industry Advisory Committee.
