San Diego Hotel and Travel Information
Enjoy Southern California's warm climate in sunny San Diego where the average January temperature is 65 degrees Fahrenheit! San Diego offers a wide variety of things to see and do: 70 miles of pristine beaches, the world-famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, and Balboa Park—the largest urban cultural park in the U.S.

The Westin Horton Plaza San Diego
Our hotel is in the heart of downtown San Diego, adjacent to the Horton Plaza Shopping and Entertainment Complex and just a short walk away from the Gaslamp Quarter. All the guest rooms are spacious and equipped with personal voice mail, two telephone lines, and data ports. The hotel offers two restaurant options, an outdoor swimming pool, and health club.

Hotel Reservations
Attendees should make lodging reservations directly with the hotel. When calling, indicate you are attending the Society for College and University Planning January Workshops to receive the special rate of $165 US per night for single and double rooms. Check-in time is 4:00 pm; checkout is 12:00 noon. The deadline to receive this special rate is December 17, 2002.

Transportation
The San Diego International Airport is conveniently located 10 minutes from the hotel. Cloud 9 Shuttle is located at the ground transportation area at the airport and will bring you to the hotel at a cost of $6.50 US per person one-way. Reservations are not necessary for this service. A cab ride is approximately $9 US. Parking with in-and-out privileges is available at the Westin Horton Plaza for a daily charge of $13 US.
