The Campus Sustainability Working Group
@ Drexel University
The Campus Sustainability Working Group is hosting a panel discussion on April 22, 2008, from 1:00–4:15 PM at Drexel University, MacAlister Hall, Room 2019–2020, in Philadelphia, PA. RSVP by April 18 to recycle@drexel.edu and use the words "Earth Day" in the subject line. Light refreshments will be served at 1:00 PM. Contact Barbara A.W. On April 9th at 1:30 PM eastern learn how to conduct a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory from your peers in this informative Webcast. The American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) requires signatories to complete a comprehensive inventory of all GHG emissions within one-year of signing. This webcast explains the general principles of conducting a GHG inventory, while providing examples from two contrasting campuses that have used different methods.
You'll engage with experts from Clean Air-Cool Planet (CA-CP) and the Association of the Advancement of Higher Education (AASHE), and hear stories from the University of California–Berkley and Unity College on how they conducted their GHG inventories. Moderating the event is Georges Dyer, Senior Fellow of Second Nature, one of the supporting organizations of the ACUPCC.

Students invited to take survey on student expectation and teaching
Professor Bernard Longden of Liverpool Hope University in Liverpool, England, is conducting a survey exploring the gap between student expectation and their experience of the teaching they receive at the university level. To participate, you will be asked to send your students a message asking them to complete a very short questionnaire. Their responses will be confidential. Should your college or university become part of the project, you will be able to use the data for detailed local analysis. Contact bernard.longden@gmail.com if interested.
