Thank you!Professional Development Assistance ScholarshipProgram DescriptionParticipation of institutional members at the SCUP regional conferences and events is a high priority for the SCUP pacific region. The SCUP Pacific Regional Council recognizes the financial hardships experienced by institutions of higher education in the current fiscal environment. In order to provide support to members interested in continuing their professional training and development and to promote participation in regional activities, the SCUP pacific council has set aside scholarship funds to defray the cost of attending the SCUP 2012 Pacific Regional Conference to be held March 25–28, 2012, in Palo Alto, CA. AwardUp to seven (7) $500 scholarships will be awarded. Preference will be given to SCUP Pacific Region members. EligibilityTo be eligible for the SCUP Pacific Regional Scholarship, applicants must provide the following: Required:
Optional: A brief statement of support by the institution, such as a supervisor (one paragraph) Application ReviewThe SCUP Pacific Regional Council will review applications and provide recommendations (ranked based on application criteria). Award recipients may elect whether to (1) receive the awards directly or (2) have them paid to their institution/employer, and whether or not to use some of the funds as a waiver of the conference registration fee.
