March 1416, 2004 Institutional Stewardship in an Uncertain World
Join your planning colleagues in Tempe, Arizona, on March 1416 for the inaugural conference of the New Pacific Region. The region stretches from Alaska to Western Mexico, from Hawaii to Wyoming. We will meet near the campus of Arizona State University, an institution experiencing rapid growth. We'll hear from the ASU provost and see on a tour of the main campus what's happening in Tempe and on their branch campuses. With the conference theme of "Institutional Stewardship in an Uncertain World" we have a variety of workshops and concurrent sessions that will explore different aspects of planning, including scenario planning and coordinated planning. Our presentation topics cover technology solutions, campus master plans, sustainability issues, program financial planning, public-private partnerships, and enrollment management. There is much talk in the profession about how to plan and deliver services effectively with fewer resources. Thinking about how we exercise our responsibilities as stewards of higher education planning sets the tone for this regional conference. The Tempe Mission Palms Hotel provides a delightful setting for the conference, within walking distance of the ASU campus and lively downtown Tempe. In addition to the campus tour, there's an optional tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West. Plus you'll have access to local events in the Phoenix/Tempe/Mesa area and spring season baseball games. Nancy Tierney Sponsors:
