The Ohio State University at Newark Conference ThemeFusion Buildings—The Future of Colleges & Universities What do you get when you build one facility to house two historically opposing functions—the library and the student union? What if, in addition, that building had to serve two different institutions? This conference will delve into what it takes to create a successful fusion building, and why an institution might construct such a facility. It will feature the Warner Library & Student Center at Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University's Newark Campus. Participants will hear the perspectives of the owners, users, and architect, who will share their thoughts on Fusion Buildings and what has made the Warner Center, in operation for two years, such a success. A tour of the building will also be included. How can the functions of a library and student union be mixed together successfully? How can fusion buildings save budget dollars? How are libraries today being transformed? How do today's students learn and how can institutions support those learning styles within their physical plant? Attend Fusion Buildings—The Future of Colleges & Universities to find out! Current North Central Regional Sponsors
