Frank Hoadley, University of Wisconsin System

The capital markets that provide state and local government with money to build and refurbish its infrastructure are undergoing profound changes that challenge the way we think about and approach financing decisions. Thoughts on staying sane in turbulent times.

Paul Matthews, Saint Xavier University

Saint Xavier University (SXU) in Chicago has evolved into a "green campus" by expanding and utilizing its slim budget to enhance sustainability. SXU has two USGBC LEED Gold buildings on campus and has proposed to have all future construction built according to USGBC LEED standards, which concentrates on natural gas and energy reduction. Not only does SXU promote sustainability through "green" construction, the University also promotes numerous "green" elements throughout the campus to stretch ideas and the budget in becoming more environmentally friendly.
