Call for Proposals

The call for proposals is over.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposals. The committee is currently reviewing the proposals and will contact accepted proposal presenters within the next couple weeks.

Guidelines for Proposals

Workshop sessions are 4 hours in length and present an opportunity for in-depth treatment of a particular subject of interest. Typically, workshops include a combination of presentation, dialog, and hands-on experiences. Workshop presenters are considered experts in the subject area and expected to provide handout materials to attendees. Workshop enrollments are limited in size to facilitate interaction and discussion.

Concurrent sessions last 60 minutes; they should include no more than 50 minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes for questions and answers. For proposals most likely to be accepted for inclusion, please consider the following:

1. Stick to the conference topic. The reviewers will be looking for pertinent proposals that supplement and enhance the themes demonstrated by the host institutions and discussed by the plenary speakers.
2. Include institutional representatives. Proposals should reflect planning done either internally by the institution or collaboratively with the institution. You must confirm the commitment of all speakers listed in your proposal; this is essential in the case of your institutional representative.
3. Fill out the on-line proposal form carefully and completely. Partial answers, unclear sentences, failure to address the specific question, missing information, poor grammar, misspellings and other irregularities are the red-flags of hastily prepared proposals. Any one of these weaknesses can jeopardize your acceptance.
