Walking Tour of Ottawa's Historic Core
This walking tour will take participants through the heart of Ottawa's market area, a designated heritage conservation district. The tour will describe the buildings built by early residents of the neighborhood, their design origins and functions. You will also look at the changing face of the Market and how recent buildings such as the American Embassy and the National Gallery have affected the neighbourhood. Sally Coutts, Heritage Planner with the City of Ottawa Development Services Department, will guide the tour.

University of Ottawa Tour
Discover the rich past and the unique architecture of the University of Ottawa, North America's oldest bilingual university, during this walking tour of the campus. The tour will begin at Tabaret Hall, rich in the history of the University and will conclude with the newest buildings-the School of Information Technology and Engineering and the new Biosciences Complex. Guides for the tour are Michel Prevost, Chief Archivist; Claudio Brun del Re, Architect; Mario Bouchard, Director of Physical Resources Service; and Maria Musat, Space Planner, all with the University of Ottawa.

Reception - Hosted by Keen Engineering
Join your conference colleagues for hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and a short presentation by the Keen Engineering staff. This reception will be held at Keen's downtown Ottawa office, a short cab ride or 15 minute walk from the hotel. The Keen Engineering staff will be on hand to offer dining and entertainment venue suggestions immediately following the reception.
