Thank you to everyone who attended. Conference ThemeTransformation for Excellence: Outcomes From Integrated Planning As defined by SCUP, “Integrated Planning is the linking of vision, priorities, people, and the physical institution, in a flexible system of evaluation, decision-making and action to shape and guide the entire organization as it evolves over time within and without its community. ” Integrated planning is a noble and simple concept, but even though it that has been around for over 50 years, not every institution has been able to embrace it and practically put it in action. Does integrated planning really work? Are its ideals of linking strategic, academic, facilities, financial, technology, and human resource planning just “pie in the sky” or something that still is workable and has relevance in 2011.
