A recipient of the AAA Four Diamond rating, the Hilton Inn at Penn is located in the heart of the University of Pennsylvania's campus. The Inn is adjacent to the prestigious Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Avenue of Technology, as well as Drexel University. The Hilton Inn at Penn is only a few blocks from Philadelphia's business district. Guest rooms are equipped for the technologically sophisticated and include two dual-line phones with voice mail, data ports and high speed internet access. Each room also offers WEBTV, plush terry cloth robes and luxurious bath amenities to provide a touch of indulgence. The hotel offers a 24-hour fitness center which includes a full range of cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
The SCUP conference rate is $159 US per room (single or double), plus tax. You must make your reservation by Friday, February 18, 2005 to be guaranteed the group rate. Be sure to mention that you are attending the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) 2005 Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, or the SCUP Planning Institute Workshop. The Lady Liberty Shuttle Service is available 24 hours a day and provides transportation from the Philadelphia International Airport to the Hilton Inn at a rate of $8 US one way. After picking up your luggage, proceed to the phone desk at ground transportation. Ask the receptionist for the free phone service and dial 27 to reach Lady Liberty Shuttle Service. Taxi cabs are also available at a flat rate of approximately $20 US from the airport to the Hilton Inn. The distance from Philadelphia International to the hotel is 8 miles, and takes about 12 minutes to travel.
Conference Location Information
SCUP's Mid-Atlantic 2005 Regional Conference will utilize two locations for its sessions and conference hospitality functions. The Hilton Inn at Penn will be the location for the preconference workshops, onsite registration, campus tour departures, and the opening reception on Sunday, March 13. The opening plenary session, concurrent sessions, and plenary lunches scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, March 14 and 15, will be held in Houston Hall on the Perelman Quad at the University of Pennsylvania.

From Philadelphia International Airport, Washington D.C. & Points South:
Take 95 (N) to 76 (W), and proceed on 76 (W) to Exit 346A (South Street). Turn left at light onto South Street. Turn right onto 33rd Street. Turn left on Walnut Street. Proceed on Walnut to 36th Street and make a right. Make a left on Sansom, and Hotel is mid-block on the left.
From Princeton, Trenton, & Points North:
Take 95 (S) to 676/Central Philadelphia Exit, and follow signs to 676 (W). Take 676 (W) to 76 (E) Exit. Take 76 (E) to Exit 346 A, South Street (about 1/5 mile). Turn right at light onto South Street. Turn right onto 33rd Street. Turn left on Walnut Street. Proceed on Walnut to 36th Street and make a right. Make a left on Sansom, and Hotel is mid-block on the left.
From Western Pennsylvania:
Take Pennsylvania Turnpike to Valley Forge Exit (Exit 24). Proceed on 76 (E) to Exit 346 A, South Street. Turn right at light onto South Street. Turn right onto 33rd Street. Turn left on Walnut Street. Proceed on Walnut to 36th Street and make a right. Make a left on Sansom, and Hotel is mid-block on the left.
From New York and New Jersey:
Take New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 4. Take Route 73 North 295 South to Walt Whitman Bridge. After crossing bridge take Route 76 West to Exit 346 A, South Street. Turn left at light onto South Street. Turn right onto 33rd Street. Turn left on Walnut Street. Proceed on Walnut to 36th Street and make a right. Make a left on Sansom, and Hotel is mid-block on the left.
