


Michael H. Hites provides leadership, vision, strategy, overall management, and accountability for enterprise-wide Administrative Information Technology Services (AITS) within the University of Illinois' multi-campus environment. He ensures the quality, transparency, customer orientation, and timeliness of AITS services. Previously, Hites led university strategic planning and information technology for New Mexico State University's (NMSU) five-campus land-grant system of 27,000 students. He was responsible for system-level IT policy, information services, telephone and data networks, application development, training, system administration, PC services, institutional research, distance education services, and advising to NMSU leadership.

Sherry Woosley is the director of analytics and research at Educational Benchmarking (EBI). Prior to EBI, Woosley worked at Ball State University in institutional research and assessment, where she led many of the university’s assessment projects. She also founded and directed a graduate level program in institutional research. Woosley is nationally recognized for her work in assessment and predictive analytics related to student retention and success. She has published in the Journal of College Student Retention, the Journal of College Student Development, the College Student Journal, and Assessment Update. She has also delivered more than 100 presentations focused on college student success, the transition to college, assessment methods, and institutional research. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership and organizations from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).

Don Sprowl has 25 years of experience in higher education, both in the classroom and in administration, and has presented 27 papers at professional society meetings, winning the Best New Presenter award at the 2007 annual meeting of the Indiana Association for Institutional Research. He is directly responsible for the analysis of student risk and success data at Indiana Wesleyan University, providing data that inform the decisions of campus leaders and guide the intervention practices of the university.
