On January 17, 2007, hundreds of people viewed SCUP's latest webcast: "Making the Business Case: Understanding the Costs and Financial Benefits of Green Building."

Two poll questions were asked of the attendees and we thought members of this SCUP Knowledge Committee would be interested in the responses ~150 licensed viewing sites:

1. (a) Have you completed, or are you in the process of completing a LEED certified project?
Yes = 54%
No = 33%
No Answer = 13%

1. (b) Do you expect to start a new green building project with LEED certified goals?
Yes = 78%
No = 9%
No Answer = 13%

2. (a) How much more do you think it costs to green an education building?
0-1% = 9%
2-3% = 33%
4-6% = 33%
7-10% = 12%
No Answer = 12%

2. (b) How much more would your institution pay for a high-performance green building.
0-1% = 31%
2-3% = 33%
4-6% = 17%
7-10% = 17%
No Answer = 14%
