Name:Regional Council Conference Chair - Pacific
Description:Role: The regional representative appoints the conference chair. The conference chair assumes leadership for the entire regional conference program. The conference chair may or may not be an at-large member of the regional council, depending on the region. Responsibilities: Work with the conference vice-chair to appoint a conference planning committee consisting of at least a program chair and local host chair. Coordinate with the conference program chair and staff for basic conference structure and content, including type and number of sessions, speakers and special events within the confines of the contract with the conference facility. Provide draft descriptions, welcome letters, etc. to SCUP staff for the production of conference materials (i.e. web site, programs, etc).
