Name:Governance & Leadership Committee Chair
Description:Governance & Leadership Committee Determines the most effective composition of members serving on the SCUP Board of Directors, consistent with the bylaws. The committee shall recommend practices, strategies, and policies, and lead board activities that attract, orient, organize, motivate, and assess the performance of directors. The committee shall submit a single slate of candidates for open board seats to members for a vote, after approval of the slate by the national council and the board. The chair and vice chair of the committee shall be designated by the chair of the board, and shall be appointed annually for one-year terms, with a maximum term of service of three years. The committee shall have at least five members including the board vice chair, two additional directors, one member of the SCUP National Council steering committee, and one regional council chair.
