The membership committee vice chair is selected by the membership committee chair with approval from the committee. The membership committee vice chair must then receive approval from the board of directors since the vice chair will someday serve as membership chair and sit on the board.  The membership vice chair is normally identified during the first year of the chair’s term of service.  The membership vice chair provides leadership to the committee in the absence of the chair.
