SCUP's Planning AcademiesROLE IN SCUP SCUP has four planning academies with a cadre of about 90 volunteers who serve as valuable content experts who review and evaluate concurrent session proposal submissions to SCUP's Annual, International Conference and Idea Marketplace. Most academy members also choose to contribute more broadly to SCUP's body of planning knowledge throughout the year, including participating in an annual survey of trends which informs an executive brief presented yearly to the SCUP Board of Directors. Each planning academy is led by a convener and associate convener who serve two-year terms. General academy membership is maintained through active participation in the review process each October. SCUP is grateful to the many volunteers who generously lend their perspective, expertise, and time each year. These academies, with their respective members are: Institutional Direction Planning Academy Resource and Budget Planning Academy ACADEMY COUNCIL The SCUP Planning Academies are governed by members of the SCUP Academy Council, a standing committee comprised of the conveners and associate conveners from each of SCUP’s four planning academies.
