SCUP's Campus Facilities Inventory

CFI Home | Executive Summaries

In 2003 SCUP began work to fill a significant gap in higher education facilities information. Since 1974 there had been no public or private agency responsible for the comprehensive collection of data, facts, and statistics about the physical size and growth patterns of colleges and universities. This is in spite of a billion dollar industry in construction for higher education institutions. SCUP created the Campus Facilities Inventory (CFI) to address this need.

The last survey of campuses on their use of space was in 2007.

Note that only participants can receive a complete data set and that they are asked to ensure the confidentiality of other institution's data when it is provided.

Data sets are released only to the survey participants. All public SCUP reports and summaries use aggregate data and do not identify specific data regarding individual institutions.

Executive Summaries are available at no cost.

Members may download the CFI Reports from 2003-2007 at no charge from the SCUP online store. Nonmembers may purchase these reports in the SCUP online store.
