
SCUP-48 Workshop Call for ProposalsThe Call for Proposals is Now Closed.The deadline was Monday, October 1, 2012, at 11:59 PM EST. Thank you for your submissions this year! Workshops—in-depth, interactive learning experiences. As a workshop presenter, you will offer participants an in-depth educational experience in a structured, yet highly interactive learning environment. We welcome all proposals with a higher education integrated planning theme.
Workshops take place on Saturday, July 27, and Sunday, July 28, 2013, in conjunction with SCUP's annual conference. Choose the workshop length that best accommodates all your material, including participant interaction, exercises, and breaks:
Presenter Compensation
Any presenters over this limit will be responsible for their own registration fees, should they wish to attend the conference. Workshop Submission RequirementsProposals must be submitted online through SCUP's website. Prepare well-developed and thorough responses to optimize the scoring of your proposal. Below are the exact questions from the proposal form. Please use them to prepare your responses. 1. Presentation Title: Accurately reflect the learning focus of your session (10-word maximum). 2. Audience Experience: Experience level of your intended audience (beginning, medium, or advanced). 3. Session Abstract: Concisely describe your presentation. This is the session description that SCUP will publish (150-word maximum). 4. Requested Length of Workshop:

Application-Focused Learning Outcomes: Specifically describe four learning outcomes that describe how participants can use the content from your session, or what they will be able to produce as a result of attending your session. Note: Your learning outcomes will be published with your session abstract; attendees evaluate your presentation by how well learning outcomes were met. How to write great learning outcomes. 6. Relevance of the Proposed Topic: Describe the relevance of the topic to the core knowledge base of integrated planning, or to cutting-edge, innovative, or emerging planning issues. 7. Instructional Method: Which instructional methods will you use to best engage participants in your workshop?

Session Organization and Content: Provide a step-by-step detailed outline of the knowledge content of the workshop, the times you have set aside for participant engagement, and explain each presenter’s role in the workshop delivery, including the time frame for each segment and the presenter. 9. Description of Take-home Materials: Describe the contents of the take-home materials that you will provide participants. 10. Key Terms: Choose 3 key terms that categorize your session (a list will be provided). 11. Room Set: What type of room set would you prefer to best enhance participant learning in your session?
